Faculty in Education (Term Tenure Track)

Waldorf University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Education. The successful candidate will bring passion and demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses with knowledge and experience in one or more curricular areas, particularly in K-12 or Secondary Education. Future leadership within the department is possible. The position begins August 15, 2019.

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Earned doctorate preferred; Master’s degree with experience and commitment to complete a terminal degree considered.
  • Minimum five years of licensed K-12 learner-centered teaching experience.
  • The ability to engage learners with dynamic lessons either on campus or online.
  • The ability to relate well with students, colleagues, and the larger university community.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work successfully either independently or collaboratively.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for the welfare of students, both curricular and extracurricular.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and program improvement.
  • The ability to effectively advise and mentor students.
  • Eagerness to serve on campus-wide committees and support the overall advancement of Waldorf University and the Education Department, including assisting with Departmental responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with teacher certification, program review, and accreditation is desired.
